On July 27, Philanthro, a nonprofit that engages young professionals with philanthropy through social, volunteer and leadership activities, will hold four events across the country to benefit veterans services organizations. The fourth-annual All-City event, “All for One” will be hosted by Philanthro chapters in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.

Here at Philanthro LA, we will continue our legacy of donating 100% of the net profits from our events to a benefit a specific charity organization. On July 27th, that organization will be the Greater LA Fisher House!

“We are aiming to make one big impact in one day by supporting veterans in our chapter’s communities,” said Philanthro CMO Stephanie Dang. “Veterans have sacrificed a lot for our country, and many are in need of health, economic and other assistance. We are looking forward to honoring veterans and supporting the organizations that help them through ‘All For One’ events around the U.S.”

About our beneficiary:
The mission of the Greater L.A. Fisher House Foundation is to make measurable contributions to the military families of Los Angeles County by providing temporary housing while a family member undergoes long-term treatment at the Veterans Administrations of Los Angeles County. The GLAFH realizes this mission through fundraising, community building, events, as well as maintenance and humanitarian support. As a result, they have been able to unite families during a loved one's hospitalization because they truly believe a family's love is good medicine.

In partnership with The Fisher House Foundation, Inc., the GLA Fisher House raised the funds to build the 42nd Fisher House, which was dedicated in 2009. In 2013, the GLA Fisher House will commence fundraising to build a ‘comfort home’ for the community served by the Long Beach Veterans Administration.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
