Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic hurricane on record, taking 74 lives and causing damages of at least $20 billion. More than 8.5 million homes went without electricity, heat, hot water, and refrigeration. 8,500 people are still living in shelters.
All proceeds from ticket sales for this event will be donated to Direct Relief for the Hurricane Sandy response. Direct Relief International (www.directrelief.org) is a leading medical relief organization that works with more than 1,000 health clinics across the U.S. to assist in emergencies and providing them with free medications for people in need. They have been working round the clock to deliver medical, nutritional, and personal hygiene supplies to those affected by the disaster.
TIPS (www.ivyplussociety.org) produces social networking events for young alumni of a select group of schools, with the aim of creating a community of talented, dynamic individuals. We join them in this event with the extra aim of raising some much-needed funds.
Come out to unite with us in this worthwhile cause and feel free to stay through the night at one of LA's hottest nightclub spots!
