October Meeting: Accessibility and Electronic Health Care Records

October's meetup will feature a talk from Dean Karavite.  Dean is the Lead Human Computer Interaction Specialist for the Center for Biomedical Informatics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  His background includes work in accessibility, usability, healthcare and research.

The talk will cover the designs, activities and results from a U.S. Department of Education-funded study on accessible electronic health care records that meet the health care needs of individuals who have a severe disability.

As always, please join us for a lively conversation.  I look forward to seeing you all.

Thanks for a great talk Dean, and thanks Andrew for setting it up. Thank you Kel for sitting by me.

I am rating the attendees, not my own talk!

Excellent presentation. In particular, the requirement set for his (disabled) users was an eye-opener; a curb-cut on steroids.
