November Meeting - Comcast Accessibility Lab Tour

One of our goals as accessibility advocates is to find ways to make everyday technology work well for people, regardless of a person's ability.  At Comcast, that goal is summed up with the mission statement: to create a smarter home for everyone.

This October, in conjunction with Disabilities Awareness Month, Comcast Accessibility opened up a brand-new Accessibility Lab demonstrating not just how Comcast products are making a smarter home, but also how existing assistive technologies can work with common products to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

November's Philly A11y Forum will be held at the Comcast Center in our new Accessibility Lab on the 35th Floor.  We will take a look at some of the new, cool technologies that Comcast is working on and have a hands-on experience with some assistive technologies.  Bring your creativity, your questions and a desire to explore!

Have to cancel. Really wish I could make it. Could someone please take photos and perhaps share them here with perhaps a brief write up? Would greatly appreciate it!

Andrew I have a +1, it will be Phil Charron. In case his name needs to be on the Comcast list. We're excited to be there and will bring ideas for good poses for pics for Matt.
