For many years I worked directly with people with disabilities in identifying, configuring and developing assistive tech solutions. Currently I am working on a grant to develop electronic personal health records that are accessible and meet the health information requirements of people with severe disabilities (and very much in a UD spirit, end up meeting everyones requirements).
Universal Design, promoting accessibility education and awareness, integrating usability and accessibility, and meeting like minded people.
I am the Lead Human Computer Interaction Specialist at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Highly recommended and a very important group.
