Tell us about some of the technology you are working with?

Most of my work is with web technology. The frameworks I work on are built using JavaScript to manage focus control and set state in the application. I also work a lot with ARIA and various screen readers to ensure that content is accurately described by those assistive devices. I have also been working on frameworks for detecting user skill level with common web interactions, with the goal of augmenting UI to accommodate the user's level of cognition.

What areas are you interested in learning more about (ARIA, WGAC, at devices, universal design, etc.)?

While I've worked with other software development teams within Comcast, I am interested in learning more about how other tech professionals are building universally accessible devices and software, particularly in mobile development. There's always more to learn, and I'm looking forward to sharing knowledge!

I am a software engineer working for Comcast where I work on building reusable UI frameworks for our websites. I am fascinated by the ways that people use technology. My current work involves building accessible experiences for the web.
