When did you learn that you were a content strategist?

I learned I had to be a content strategist after SMX West 2012. After that I started learning everything I could about content strategy and over the summer introduced it as a service that has done extraordinarily well. I'm still learning everyday.

What content strategists do you admire most?

Wil's RCS platform appeals to my nature, but it was Rhea Drysdale's panel at SMX that taught me people who say their industry or business isn't exciting enough to create communities or content are liars. Everyone can participate in a content strategy to help bolster their SEO.

Tell us a content strategy that inspired you—

Started work in a global hotel chain - moved to a small agency to get away from corporate culture - got bought out by one of the largest hospitality technology companies in the world. Now working as head of the SEO and Social Media department.
