I was given the opportunity to get into the business of content strategy when I was given Erin Kissane's book "The Elements of Content Strategy" back in September of 2012, as I was taking on a new role as a copywriter at my company. No one has really done this before at my company, though we have people who do pieces of content strategy everyday: designers, writers, information architects, developers. I am trying to view the work we do holistically and take an approach that benefits our clients and streamlines our internal processes as well. I'm learning as I go, but I love it so far.
Well, I only know of a couple so far. Erin Kissane's book was quite good and I'm interested to read more from Kristina Halvorson.
The way google has crafted their world (and ours, because of it) inspires me.
The Free Library! SO MUCH CONTENT. SO MANY BOOKS AND EVENTS AND MAGAZINES AND CDS AND THINGS TO READ AND SEE AND DO.
Content strategy full time, content creation part time. Digital always, social often, print sometimes. Content is all.
I will be back to meet more people, learn more, and hopefully catch up with some of the great folks I met tonight!
