improv incubator: 3hrs of scenework [w. philly]

we meet every sunday night, right off Drexel campus.

check our FB for details

Incubator is weekly improv gymnasium, facilitated by Rick Horner and Milkshake for improvisors of all experience levels to work out and keep their skills sharp.
incubator is free, but we appreciate your donations to keep our doors open sunday after sunday. our mission is to make one another look like great performers.

For novices, give your attention to hearing the exercises explained, and your fullest attention to your scene partner. And relax, it's just practice.

For intermediates, come with a challenge for yourself to maintain throughout the proceedings, such as "all my characters will be fully engaged in some meticulous chore while talking to other characters", or "all my characters will speak through the knowledge that they're standing over the shallow graves of their victims".

For performing improvisors, shoot us some questions about what to expect, or some suggestions of exercises you'd like to do. Get it to us well in advance and you could be dictating the whole evening.

hery all- thank you for being so welcoming and understanding when I slowed up the rhythm, count on me to keep up a little bit better each time I am able to make it there.
I had a blast-felt rejuvenated for the week. felt almost like me again. :)

Hey gang! I am going to be there tonight, hope you will too! We are going to have fun, and though it may be cold outside, inside it will be nice and warm. Sometimes too warm, where we have to cool it out. Pretty perfect, I'd say. 3500 Lancaster Ave (Community Education Center), Phila PA. There is a parking lot in the back and if you park there, bang on the back door to get it or call me. Park out front? You get a buzzer to alert us to your need! See you tonight I hope! _Rick

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
