Intro To 21st Century Fabrication

This single session class is an introductory workshop overview of how to go from idea to digital design to digitally fabricating a physical object prototype. We’ll review a complete digital workflow. This class will provide an overview of tools and the process to creating your work. We’ll start with an introduction to tools like Google Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, Autodesk123d, and sourcing from Thingaverse and Google3D. We’ll review fabrication techniques including the VersaCamm Vinyl Cutter, the CNControlled Laser Cutter (and engraver) as well as 3D printing. This class is presented by The Hacktory as part of our inaugural artist-in-residency. Tickets are $25, available here: http://thehacktory.ticketleap.com/intro-to-21st-century-fabrication/

Hi there, this class is actually sold out! With the additional resident artists we will have attend it's going to be packed. Due to the popularity though we're already thinking of when we can schedule another session later this summer, so we'll post it as soon as we know!

Hi Alex and Georgia, I'm unexpectedly unable to attend tonight's exciting event. I am happy to donate my ticket and my space if Alex is still interested in attending.

Hey there. Thanks for the rsvps everyone. I just want to make sure everyone understands that anyone interested in attending this event should purchase a ticket by following the link at the bottom of the event description. We are presenting this workshop as part of a residency program for 6 artists at The Hacktory, and therefore we'll have a bit less space for the general public than usual. Hope to see you all there!
