  • Hi All,

    We're really exciting to be bringing a Riak CS workshop to Philadelphia on Monday, Oct 29th.

    Riak CS is an S3-compatible, multi-tenant storage platform built on top of the Riak distributed database.

    Join us to learn more about Riak CS in a hands-on, tutorial style.

    As usual, food and refreshments will be provided by Basho.

    All you need to bring is:

    * yourselves (and friends)

    * a mac/linux laptop (sorry, no windows)

    * your potential use cases and hard questions

    7:15 - 7:35 - Introduction to Riak CS

    Sean Carey (Director of DevOps, Basho)

    Tom Santero (Technical Evangelist, Basho)

    We will begin with a brief but comprehensive overview of Riak CS from both an operational and architectural perspective. This will get you up to speed on what Riak CS is, how it works and why you would want to run it in production.

    7:35 - 9:00 - Hands-on with Riak CS

    Sean Carey (Director of DevOps, Basho)

    Tom Santero (Technical Evangelist, Basho)

    Following the intro to Riak CS we will launch full steam ahead into the hands-on portion of the event. We will be allocating accounts on the Riak CS test harness to all attendees, walk through installing s3cmd and then dive into operations with Riak CS.

    We look forward to seeing you there!
