Dear Education Innovators,

School of the Future is hosting its second annual Educator Forum on April 26th-27th at School of the Future in Philadelphia. The Forum is part of a larger series of Microsoft global events, recognizing innovative teachers and school leaders who creatively and effectively use technology to help improve the way kids learn while increasing student success. This event is designed to promote the sharing and scaling of exceptional practices, recognize and celebrate educators and innovative schools, and provide professional development in technology integration. Philadelphia’s two-day conference will be comprised of the Regional Educator Project Competition, speakers, workshops, and technology exhibits. The winner of the Educator Competition will go on to compete in the Microsoft Global Forum this fall.

Experience Pavilion: Featuring technology demos and interactive experiences for all conference participants
This exhibition will be held in School of the Future’s Interactive Learning Center from 9:00AM-1:00PM on Saturday, April 28th and will feature interactive demonstrations of all types of educational technology to show participants how technology can further educational transformation. Experience Pavilion presenters should gear their demos/experiences to a fluid audience of educators, students, educational professionals, pre-service teachers, and technology enthusiasts. Conference participants will move in and out of the space throughout the morning. Presenters will be assigned a booth or space (depending on their needs) to display and facilitate their experience.

Examples of Experience Pavilion Exhibits from 2012:
· Microsoft Xbox Kinect and Educational Applications
· Drexel University’s Education in Motion Program
· SOF’s Autism Technology Program
· Promethean Technology in the Classroom
· Songsmith Music Technology at SOF
· Discovery Education Interactive Textbooks
· Toshiba Educational Services
· Villanova School of Business Entrepreneur Club

If you are interested in participating in the Experience Pavilion please contact Max Weiss at mweiss at sof dot philasd dot org. Please pass this opportunity along to others you know who may be interested.

Thank you for this notification MaryBeth. Very useful for those of us who didn't know about the event. Anybody that went last year to share feedback?

I only know of a friend who presented her teacher project. She had a great time.
