The University City Science Center will welcome Ed Tech professionals on Tuesday, June 18 for their next Angel Education program focusing on Ed Tech. According to the National Venture Capital Association, investments in education-technology companies nationwide tripled in the last decade, increasing to $429-million in 2011 from $146-million in 2002. Investors, innovators and entrepreneurs will convene on Tuesday to shine a light on the growing industry and the associated investment opportunities at an Angel Education Program at the University City Science Center, 3711 Market Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA.
Angel Education is designed to educate angel investors on emerging technology industries. Sponsored by the Citizens Bank Foundation, Angel Education is part of the Science Center’s Quorum initiative, which is designed to unite the region’s entrepreneurship and innovation communities through a central gathering space on the Science Center campus and related programming that connects entrepreneurs to investors and advice.
