Hello Actors,

The following roles are needed for an upcoming comedy which is a short. You do NOT need experience.  You do NEED to be able to act and become this character. Think of Seinfeld.  They were stereotypes and had chemistry with each other.  

This is a budget free film and there is no budget for the actors to be paid.  If you want to create an outstanding resume’; then you will want to add this character to your resume’.  

My plan is to have parts of this film shown on various television shows. Then, my plan is to enter this film into the Sundance and Toronto International Film Festival.

You will need to e-mail me a headshot.  If you resemble the character; I will send you a copy of the screen play and be setting up auditions in the next few weeks.

Below is a general description of the characters.  Based on the character, I will detail more of their personality and characteristics when I e-mail you the screen play.  

CHARACTERS:

Chris:  African American. Early 20’s. Strong personality.  Sarcastic, hard and direct. Recently one year clean from drugs. Attends weekly NA meetings. (NA is for Narcotics Anonymous meetings.)  Has a good heart and wants to help people. 

Mary:  Looks in her 50’s or 60’s.   Bible type with rigid right winged values.  Always wears her religious cross and  eye glasses from a chain/necklace around her neck. The cross necklace and glasses with a chain will be provided.  Cold and unkind.  Angry about life.  Worked as a librarian and retired to only reading books.  Never goes out to do anything fun.  Can be overweight. Short hair.  Dresses extremely conservative. Always wear flat ugly ‘old lady’ shoes.  Looks dowdy.  

Camilla Lee:  50 to 60’s age range.  A sweet hearted woman from the south.  She has a soft southern accent. Plump to regular weight.  She always wears nice clothes that can be plain.   Short heeled pumps for shoes. Attractive or pretty.

Marcy:  Like Fran Dresher without the nasal accent.  She has a strong NY accent. Strong personality. Marcy has a kind heart. Is direct.  Cosmopolitan/chic.  Long straight dark hair and extremely attractive.  40’s to 50’s. Preferably 50’s.  She is Jewish; so someone that resembles Jewish or can emulate that.

Cheyenne: 17 years old, but must be over 18 or 21 for the film. Sarcastic, arrogant and nasty.  Used to being the most popular girl in high school.  Extremely pretty.

Tim: 17 years old.  Easy going.  Quiet.  Kind and gentle.  Very good looking and in excellent shape.   The fastest swimmer in the tri county area and will be trying out for the Olympics.

Sal: 40’s.  Character is from South Philly.  Average looking is fine.  Dark haired. Darker complexion.  Italian or looks Italian.

Candy:  20’s. Overweight.  But, presents herself nicely in clothes.
