This is a long awaited treat for me. A menu designed especially for me. This affair may turn out to be more than I bargained for. :)
What others have to say about Vedge:
Google+: 4.8 Stars
Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby make you "forget images of hippies and heavy-handed meat substitutes" with "inventive, delectable" vegan and vegetarian small plates featuring "astoundingly fresh" veggies at their "elegant" successor to Horizons, set in a "charming old mansion" in Washington Square West; "gorgeous" decor and "excellent" service add to its allure, and while a few gripe about "pricey" "small portions", the "extraordinary" fare makes even "hard-core carnivores" "consider giving up meat."
Philadelphia Magazine: 50 Best Restaurants in Philadelphia: 2013
No one cooks a radish like Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby at Vedge. No one treats beets, rutabagas or mushrooms the way the kitchen here does. Because of this innovation and attention to detail, Vedge isn’t just the best vegetarian restaurant in Philadelphia; it’s one of the city’s best restaurants, period. Spend one night here and you’ll never look at a tofurkey with anything but shame ever again.
