Breakthrough Philadelphia Hike

We will be hiking along the creek & turning over rocks at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark Delaware (roughly an hour away from Philly).  We leave from Germantown Friends school (31 W Coulter Street Philadelphia 19144) at 9am and return to Germantown Friends by 6pm Saturday night.  Any volunteers can ride with Sharon and be dropped off afterwards by 4:30pm at Germantown Friends (slightly earlier return).

We had a terrific time. The most fun was stepping on the rocks in the creek. We spent hours there, and most were quite wet by the end. We didn't want to leave.

One of my favorite activities as a kid was rock-hopping in the crick, turning over some to see what's under them.

Although I'm definitely up for another hike, I may need to attend a conference that day; can't say yet.

I've never been to Morris Arboretum; I would like to go. Not exactly the wilderness, but more of a "civilized" outing. Let's do it.

great idea - I actually suggested this to Bryan today! The big bugs display could be interesting, and we could take the bus there. It would be an opportunity to show the kids a place they can get to themselves. We'll talk about it - it might not happen this month - but the Arboretum is definitely on the short list.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
