AWAKEN YOUR INNER PHILOSOPHER!

Everyone has an "inner philosopher" waiting to express itself. Whether your interest in philosophy is formal or casual, this group is for philosophy lovers of all persuasions (such as): Platonists or Aristotelians. Radical socialists or Ayn Rand laissez-faire Objectivists. Mystics, atheists or scientific naturalists. Existentialists or....other existentialists. Philosophy is more than profoundly stimulating to the intellect, it can be just plain fun! The group is oriented towards Western philosophy but explores the perspectives of Eastern philosophy as well. The intellectual discussions can range from matters that are purely speculative or theoretical to practical philosophical considerations of current political, social and cultural developments or controversies. Each meeting opens with a lead question, topic, or philosophical quotation to get the conversation off to a running start. However, the meetings are not highly structured and are designed to go with the flow of the dialogue and of the personalities in the group. We meet at restaurants, cafes, and pubs and, when appropriate, in classroom or seminar settings.
