Foie gras is a 'delicacy' that is anything but delicate. It's a dish made from the engorged livers of ducks or geese. These animals have tubes rammed down their throats and as much as 4 pounds of food are forced inside. The process is brutal and barbaric. Victims often times cannot move due to the forced feeding and suffer from ruptured organs.
Countries across the world, from Finland to South Africa, have taken a stance against this practice by banning it entirely.
Come join us on Tuesday, November 5th as we protest outside of Bink's, a restaurant located in central Phoenix (24th St & Osborn). They serve foie gras and have an outdoor patio that is packed on weeknights. We will go out there to stand up for the ducks and all animals abused and killed for "food" at Bink's -- our message is simple: It's not food, it's VIOLENCE!
One of our PALS lives near the restaurant and generously offered her house up for us to rest at, use the restroom, and eat.
Hope to see you there!
