1. I'm fairly new to Python, so you don't want me giving any tutorials. :P
2. I'm from the East Valley, but I will meet up anywhere it's convenient for the rest of the group!
3. For me, Monday or Wednesday evenings after 6pm would be ideal, but I am fairly flexible on this.

I look forward to meeting you all hopefully sometime soon! :)

Hello, I have used python a bit but am by no means an expert.

  • I have given the following python presentations but could do so again:

    • Overview of python testing options (turned out a bit long)
    • One on using the boto library for Amazon AWS services, could be split into several: http://presentations....
    • A lightning talk on virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper

  • Weekday evenings are preferable, East Valley is preferable but would go central. West valley would make it harder.

I was hoping to spearhead a python group in the valley when I moved back to Phoenix last summer, but I started a new job that has required a vast percentage of my brain and requires a bit of travel. So pushing the effort would have been too much. I will be happy to try and help others in as much as I can.

Woo! Austin, those items sounds good!

I can do presentation on the following items :
1. Faster Python via Optimization
2. Automation with Fabric

I live in West Valley so it would be a bit of trip to go East. Sounds like ideal location is Central.

Austin, would you be interested becoming Co-Organizer?

I would happily be a co-organizer, with the understanding that there are times I will be forced to be AWOL.

Austin,

Wait a few months and I will have something else to show you.

I am just now finalizing my choice for an arduino starter kit.
And I will be programming that in python (as well as ruby and C)

And I would be happy to show y'all all about that.

I am very excited.

Jerry
