Phoenix AZ Survivor Mud Run

http://www.survivormudrun.com/locations/2014/phoenix.php

One of those mud run obstacle courses :). 3 miles of 12+ obstacles that contain mud to some degree. Waves of 300 will take off every 15 minutes starting at 9am. There are already over 1200 people signed up for this event! There will be live music and fun!

What you get: Survivor medal & headband, race bib, 1 free beer after the race, boulder toss, post race refreshments, and bragging rights. Options to view/purchase pictures and race results will be emailed to you the following day. Wear fast drying clothes you can move in and don't mind getting dirty.

Sign up for this event is until February 25 at 3pm. Current price for this is $58.00 plus tax, about $64.00. I have purchased my ticket for the noon (12pm) time slot as noted before (1/22/14). There is a waiver you will need to print, sign and bring with you the day of, it's available online when you sign up.

I am going to get there at least an hour early to check in and on lockers. I will try to stick around the check in tables at 11 so we can find each other. I'll wear my SGAG meet-up badge until James finds us. I'd suggest those coming to arrive at least 45 minutes ahead of time, the lines to check in may be long. Don't forget your ID's, the signed waivers, and your registration information would be good. We'll need the time to put on bibs, and put stuff back at our cars if there are no lockers. Suggestion for keys: leave everything in your car but your car key and wrap in a ziplock/waterproof bag, attach to yourself under your shirt or something with a safety pin, this worked for me last time. Parking will be $10.

So apparently its raining......sigh. While this is good for mud, if it stays pouring it makes today much more difficult. I'll watch for updates, hopefully it'll clear some by noon.

Not sure, you may have to contact them at [masked]. I believe after checking in, you could sneak into the noon group.

So I found out you can volunteer with them maybe I do that this time round and then enjoy the run later on.I don't even think I'm ready to get so muddy. So I will see what volunteer entails and if it's fun then I 'll see you guys there still

There is a living social for this event - $33 for registration. It think it could work the same if we redeem vouchers at the same time, but you have to sign up by 2/25

That sounds great but the tough part is getting everyone to make sure they are going and sign up together.

Sure! Nice (shy) guys and gals finish last? Suggestions welcome....but nothing is signed up yet, wanted to get everyone in the same time slot, that requires a plan of attack with RSVP's. We have time...unless anyone wants to do the Spartan Race in February, but it's almost double the price.
