She will be covering the basics of project management and why it's important, pros/cons of different sourcing strategies, communication planning, procurement strategies (fixed bid vs. T&M), risk/issue management strategies, project management tools, and Agile vs. Waterfall and pros/cons of each.
Crystal Taggart, founder of Atlas Innovations, is a technologist, entrepreneur, and PMP Certified project manager since 2006 with over 16 years of IT experience in roles including development, software architecture, design, project management, and management. She has implemented software projects for a number of companies ranging from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Thanks for not only the great presentation last night, Crystal, but also for providing the slide show for all - not having to write all the notes was great, and allowed us to concentrate on the nuances. Also, what I liked best was that the material was from your personal experiences! Not from someone in a think tank, but your successes AND failures that allowed you to grow.

@Kyle: GTD is great! But... we won't be covering that this go-around. We'll be covering some fundamentals from PMI (Project Management Institute), some sourcing strategies, some methodology strategies (agile vs. waterfall) and the top 10 secrets to getting a project done (aka the things I have learned the hard way over the past 16 years!)
