What: Deliberate Design - presentation by Bob Bischoff
Where: CO+HOOTS
When: February 19, 6.30 PM - 9.00 PM
Cost: free for the group members
Learn how great design has the power to increase the value perception of your company and evoke positive emotions in buyers to increase conversion rates and sales of your product or service. You will also learn why the opposite is also true; bad or ineffective design can send customers stampeding to your competition. This seminar will help you increase your "design literacy" by demonstrating how graphic designers use specific visual tools to control what people see and feel when viewing websites, ads, brochures and other visual communication.
Successful brands, such as Apple, Pinerest, and Nike put a lot of emphasis on integrating design into their business strategy. You will come away with a keen awareness of how deliberate design can greatly increase the effectiveness of your brand communication.

Great presentation! Always interesting how the human brain works. Now I know why I keep buying the same stuff :)

Yeah, that was an informative presentation as well as fun brain storming session to finish. It was good to learn about theory behind this madness as it gives the craft a more ground appearance. Plus, it built up a little more confidence in my own design skills.

Bob clearly knows his stuff. As the interim designer on our startup team, I got a lot out of this I can use.

I left with some solid design takeaways, which should help in my own design efforts as well as being able to communicate with a designer. Thanks!

Bob was stellar, I picked up a lot of great points. Thanks also to the courageous folks who volunteered to have Bob review their websites. That was fantastic.

Sadly, I too, have prior commitments tonight that I cannot break. I also hope that this might be available again sometime in the future, or some access to the information? Would have liked to attend, as an artist, I very well understand the impact of design and branding for a product/company!
