My realtor idea didn't work well and since it seemed to work pretty well for Suzy I am also asking for more interview contacts. My target for this round are people who use someone else to clean their home. More recent purchasers and the younger female age demographic (25-45) are preferred. You may pass them on to [masked] Appreciate any leads. Thank you.

Oh... and, if you want to interview someone who is in group 1B... I will be happy to answer questions. :)

Would love to. Will before lab on Thursday work the best for you?

My customer interviews are giving me so much more insight now that I'm focusing in on the exact customers I want to builds a solution for. Its hard not to jump in and start building something. How will we know which one of our customers' many pain points to solve and what idea to focus on first?

I love this! Way to go Kyle. It is amazing what you find out when you engage in a conversation with a customer. To answer your question, you won't right away. That is why you want to talk to many customers of the same demographic so that you can see if you can identify trends or common pain points.

You don't want to build a custom solution for only one person. You want to try to find a common problem or theme among (ideally) all of your customers. If not "all", then at least a large portion... and, if others don't have this problem, you will want to try and understand why some people have it and some people don't. This will be important in marketing.... because something makes them different if all customers don't have the problem.

Thanks for the reply Richard. I am already starting to see some trends and with a few more interviews it will probably become apparent what the most common and important pain point is to focus on. A great benefit I'm going to gain from talking with potential customers will be getting their help in generating buzz before and after launch. I'm contacting users on Twitter and Instagram that I can keep a connection with and hopefully get ongoing feedback as the product is being developed.

Does anybody have contacts they can send my way for the 'potential user' interviews? I need to talk to females that are going through the wedding registry process or that went through it recently. If you know of anyone that would be willing to talk to me for a bit please send them my way! [masked] :)

I'm glad I can be of service. This is fun stuff. I'm glad you all are participating and helping to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem here in Phoenix. And, on a personal note... you rock, Crystal. Thank you for helping me think through all the details of http://resumo.to :)

Does anyone have any good resources for doing inexpensive online revenue/customer interest testing (keywords, domains, landing pages, etc.)? Maybe I am jumping the gun a little here with regards to the class but would like to start some of this while interviewing.

Is there any prep homework we should be doing for week #2 besides the customer interviews?

    January 16

    • Kyle

      Thanks Richard.
Mike, the people you want to talk to are your future customers. People who have the problem you will be creating a solution for. Checkout my notes from lab #1 for more info.

Am I too far behind to jump in here? Should I wait until the next time you offer this?

I mentioned this in my RSVP, but just in case it gets lost there...

    Hey, there!

I'm sorry I missed last week's meeting. I plan to catch up on the pre-session materials, but is there anything else we should check out/bring? Thanks so much for offering this lab!
