Hello Phoenix Tantra Meetup member,

Thank you to all those who have attended our Meetups in 2012.  After a brief hiatus while looking for a new space, we are planning a number of meetings with a variety of speakers on different topics within the broad spectrum of Tantra. I would like to welcome the many new members who have joined us recently, and invite the older members who haven’t attended an event in some time to join us at a Meetup soon. I would appreciate your input on topics or speakers you are interested in learning about.  I will be posting a survey soon on that topic.  Please do take the opportunity to let us know what interest you.

On the subject of attendance, if you have RSVPd “Yes”, and then are unable to come, please take the time to change your RSVP if you are unable to attend. This helps us to plan better and start on time as we are not waiting for you to show up. As you know, many Tantric exercises work better when we have a gender balanced group, and we can organize that a lot better if we can count on you to be there when you have said you will.  I would prefer not to require prepayment to attend an event, but that is one of the ways we can reduce last minute no-shows. Also, since Meetup doesn’t allow “maybes any more, if you are uncertain whether you can make it, please let us know in the comment section of your RSVP.

The objective of the Tantra Meetup is to create a sacred and safe learning community where our members can explore and learn about the integration of sexuality and spirituality. As many of our members have joined the group since our policy on this subject was circulated by Lawrence, I am repeating it here:

“Because we as members of Arizona Tantra all come from widely divergent backgrounds and various levels of tantric experience and are involved with the sensitive subjects of emotional intimacy and Sacred Sexuality in our group meetings and otherwise, it is extremely important that we are always aware of the sacred space that we need to create when interacting with other members of our group in all of our activities. While we are interacting with each other in this container of sacred space, we become emotionally vulnerable as we open up in trust to each other. We must always honor this sacred space and it must never be violated.

Although Arizona Tantra is specifically not a dating group, love does occasionally blossom within our group. But if it is brought to my attention that someone is randomly, aggressively or sexually pursuing or harassing other members of our group for sex or dating, you place yourself in jeopardy of being banned from our group. While Arizona Tantra is involved in the realms of sexuality and intimacy, one of the main focal points of our group is to provide a safe space where the possibility of sexual and other forms of healing can take place. If you are solely interested in seeking dating or sexual partners, there are many other Meetup groups and other sites on the internet that are exclusively based for those specific needs.

By no means were these guidelines created to diminish the creative spirit of Arizona Tantra but only to protect the privacy, safety and personal dominion of all of our members. If any member of our group ever feels that they are being inappropriately approached in any manner, please bring these matters to my attention. I feel that we have a great group of people within our membership ranks of Arizona Tantra and I thoroughly enjoy the expression of Light and Energy that we get to experience during our Meetup events.”

To be specific, please do not contact any member of the group on the website you have not actually met first in person at a Meetup. Any complaints I receive about some one doing that in contravention with this policy will be grounds for removal from the group.
