Or Adam is Hebrew for “light of humanity.” We are an active, inclusive congregation that celebrates the past, present, and future of the Jewish cultural experience. Our central philosophy is secular and humanistic. We see human determination, empathy, and intelligence, not faith or belief in a supernatural power, as the guide to understanding ourselves, connecting to one another, and making a positive impact on the world. We embrace the moral values, languages, food, music, literature, art, and traditions of the Jewish people, and their impact on the world. We offer a wide range of activities: Sunday school education for children preschool through high school age; formal Shabbat and holiday celebrations; enrichment activities including book club meetings, Shabbat and Havdalah dinners, friendship groups, and community service events.
