Sunset & Almost Full Moon Paddle

If you have a kayak, canoe or SUP come join us. If not, call[masked] x 202 and we will see if we can hook you up with one. This fun evening paddle is short and will be in the southern coves. Paddle is from 6:30PM to 8:30PM, and will be less than 5 miles. EVERYONE MUST BRING AND WEAR A LIFE VEST ON THIS TOUR. Also you must have a flashlight on board, and some water. Glow sticks also can be of help, taped to your kayak. We will be meeting at the end of Desert Tortoise Road, look for the “Pleasant Paddlers Program” signs.

To Harry: Google maps has led me astray several times. I don't know what part of town you're in but we could meet somewhere on I 17 and you could follow me up to the lake. Your son would like this trip.

I follow direction from Google map and took me to Bartlett dam n Tonto forest. By the time, I realized I got lost, it was too late. It would be nice, if there is a direction n contact number ( mobile phone) that people can call when they get lost. I'm so not familiar w lake pleasant area. Next time, I will drive around the area one week before the event.

Harry, sorry you got lost. It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the area ahead of time. If you type Lake Pleasant into Google Maps it should take you right to the lake. If it's of any consolation the event was cancelled due to bad weather.

A lot of paddlers do have my cell phone and that is how we talked at the lake tonight, but I do not usually like to post my cell number. You can call the park contact station and they could help you with directions to the park or get my number at the next paddle at Lake Pleasant.

Turned out to be a nasty night anyway, we did not go out onto the water. Very high winds and some lightning.

Sorry I didn't make it. Spent a lot of $ for gear and food and half way up Lake Pleasant road had to u-turn coz of bad weather (major dust storm & wind). I've paddled a rough lake once before and didn't want my 11 year old son (with me) to experience it. I'll look forward to the next meet though.

It is for Everyone, although it is a great way to meet someone who enjoys the same activities, that is why meet ups are so nice, they are truly for all, singles and even us married people.

    Paddlers,

Please let me know if you lost an item at the last two Full moon paddles at Lake Pleasant. I have three items that were found in the area, a PFD, a throw bag, and a set of gloves. If you can describe them to me, I will return them to you.

    Thanks,
