Julia’s 8thth Annual Holiday Party - Scottsdale
Date: Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 (always the 2nd Saturday in Dec every year)
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Cover Charge (This is an Animal Shelter Fundraiser): $5.00
For the last 7 years, people told me they so look forward to my Christmas party each year. The house is so unique, the food so good (I make sure people bring a good dinner spread) and they love the people in that the groups I invite are compatible. This event is cross posted to other larger MeetUps and groups, so do not judge based on RSVPs here.
I am inviting you all again, to my 8th annual Christmas party. Bring your friends.
MAKE THIS THE BEST POTLUCK EVER ! People said my previous party had the best potluck spread they’ve ever eaten. So let’s make this one even better. Bring a "quality" potluck dish and BYOB. "Quality" means no packaged cookies, snack-type of donations, and please no grocery store-bought desserts (TJ and Costco OK) ! Kudos to those who bring a main dish, crock pot plug-ins and BBQ grills available. The hopelessly "potluck challenged" can e-mail Julia [masked] to request painless, no-cook party items, that you could bring, instead of food. Bring your favorite Christmas CDs to play for all.
DRESS WARMLY, yes, gloves, scarves, longjohns, down jacket! Assuming no rain, party will be held outdoors in the backyard. Despite this warning, every year people didn’t think to wear enough, saying "but it wasn’t cold when I left the house". There will be several firepits for warmth, and a propane heater.
DIRECTIONS: Take Camelback Rd one mile east of Hayden where it deadends into the Pima Rd wall, turn right on 87th Street. Party house is one house S. of Camelback, on left, 4433 N. 87th Street, Scottsdale, red brick facade next to the alley. Warning: time and time again, people who used Mapquest, Yahoo, and other internet maps (horrid directions and misleading maps!), NEVER found the party house and had to go back home to a lonely night with their uneaten potluck dish.
$5 COVER CHARGE (unemployed need not pay) is donated to local no-kill (501(c)(3) animal shelters, who have to come out of personal pocket every year, due to lack of donations. So, please be your usual honorable self and bring a $5 bill for the collection jar at the entrance.
