If you RSVP'd yes to the December 19th meetup, you have been added automatically as a Yes RSVP. This meetup is the make-up date. Because of the weather, my time was very limited to oversee everyone while photographing. It was my intention to discuss their compositions and their chosen views while they were in th e process of creating it. So lets give this a try one more time.
For the other members who's schedule did not permit to attend the meetup of December 19, this is your second opportunity.
We will be walking about Newport, along the Hudson. Freely taking pictures and breaking loose from our chains of the "not sure" zone.
The view of NYC is breathtaking, unlimited ways for composition.
For many it will be your first step to really expanding your creativity, to see things from a different perspective, to improve your images from an average picture to a living breathing photograph.
Dress in Layers, bring gloves and hats!!!
The length of the meetup is up to you. I will leave as late as the last person decides to stay. Even though I am an all weather person if the weather reports call for severe weather, or if it's raining or the skyline won't be visible, the I will reschedule the meetup.
LOL, I jinxed the last meetup by saying that no matter what It would still go on.
Bring your tripods!!!
Extra batteries and memory cards.
The best picture taken that night, decided by a vote from the members, will receive a "meetup" mug with your winning picture on it (I'm excluded).
Cheers...
Tripods are optional, but highly recommended. You will want to do long exposure of 2 to 10 seconds. The VR lens won't help.
Thanks John. I hope to be able to create something like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37996581434@N01/4275872864![]()
