SUNDAY'S WEATHER FORECAST - SUNNY !!! THINK LIVING GEORGIAN VILLAGE, PANORAMIC VIEWS ACROSS LONDON, THINK KEATS, SHELLEY, CONSTABLE, DH LAWRENCE, DU MAURIER, PETER PAN, STING & THE SPICE GIRLS.. HAMPSTEAD & it's famous Heath remains one of London's most beautiful & quintessentially English bohemian villages - a marvelous gift for photographers. It's as if time stopped as we walk off the beaten track through cobbled, winding & leafy streets , hidden passageways reveal ancient pubs, spectacular homes that run off the elegant 18th century Georgian promenade.
This charming village is perched on a hill 440 feet (135 metres) above sea level, with a settlement there for more than 1000 years. Our walk is paced for photographers to take advantage of the unsurpassed views over the London skyline & the wonderful landscapes of the Hampstead Heath; 800 acres of untamed woodland.
Add to all this a cast of characters that include, Dickens, Keats, Shelley , Romney , Constable Hogarth, Dick Turpin, Robert Louis Stevenson, Mary Poppins, Boy George, Peter Cook, H.G.Wells and Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor, The Du Mauriers - Sting & The Spice Girls.. Our stage is set for a truly fascinating & memorable photographic walk with spectacular opportunities for street & nature photography, often used in tv & movie locations.
This fascinating & beautiful walk will provide you opportunities to practice composition, light metering in wonderful landscape, as well as architectural & street photographic opportunities in the setting of a bygone age in special locations , both off the beaten track & to learn more about the history & development of London & Hampstead's famous residents.
We will be ending our walk at a wonderful pubs frequented by Constable , which in itself is a very special " photo opportunity "
All levels of experience are welcome.
Light weight portable tripods might be helpful to some.
Please dress warmly with comfortable walking shoes or WELLIES as we will be going across heath land as well as streets.There is quite a lot of walking up & down hill.
