Fear of Manual, scared off with Jargon? Learn by doing & enjoy !Borough Market

New to Digital Photography ?

Do you have a "New Camera" -  DSLR or mirrorless, that your'e not feeling that confident about using except in Program to Point & Shoot ?

What's Manual, Shutter Speed , Tv, Aperture,What's a histogram? What's this about composition ?

Don't be put off by jargon -it's not rocket science, our cameras are rather like boxes with bits of good glass with good explanation, a bit of patience with yourself  to process the concepts & lots of  enjoyable practice - it does  all fall into place & suddenly you are creating great photographs.

Canon, Nikon, Fuji etc the fundamentals are all the same & that's what we will go through - putting the theory immediately into practice in Borough Market, one of the most vibrant & exciting parts of London. SO If you do you have a camera gathering dust & would like a refresher, or feel you need a better grip of basics to improve your photography but  rather not be sitting for weeks in a classroom then please come aboard, have  fun & learn a lot at the same time.

Some recent feedback from previous workshops:

" I just wanted to say thanks for the lessons last weekend!
It was so much easier than classroom learning and looking forward to learning more with you soon."

" A great day out with lots of opportunities to spend plenty of time thinking about your shot & lots of support and advice given by the organiser, Jude "

Practical workshops, in small groups, with lots of individual attention, are a  mixture of theory and practice in a fun, enthusiastic, jargon-free style.

It’s not only technical knowledge of your camera that helps make a great picture, it's lot of enjoyable practice, looking at  your own & others photos.

I'll give you lots of  hints and tips about observation, composition & feeling free to be creative, to ensure you start taking pictures you’re proud of.

If you have been on one of my beginners workshops before, it's no repeat, each one is different, location different, different challenges, the numbers always small, the focus is on each one of you learning more from the level you are at .

We will meet outside: Tapas Brindisa Coffee Bar- this is on the corner of the entrance to Borough Market & Stoney Street, & right next to the Nat West Bank Cash Machines, beside London Bridge Tube Station Exits. There are a few exits to London Bridge but this is the one to look for. Here's a pic ( they do THE best hot chocolate i have ever tasted. )

Re Weather : Borough Market is a covered market - it's completely under a large structure so that's it's indoor so whatever the weather, we wouldn't be affected.
