This beautiful walk gives Photographers a feast of opportunities - an 18th Century preserved Georgian Village set high over London with stunning landscape views & picturesque winding alleyways. A fascinating history full of anecdotes of all the Great & The Good who made Hampstead their home over the last 400 years.
An 18th Century Georgian Spa Town where Londoners flocked to escape filthy London's stench & disease & taste the medicinal bitter waters that filtered from it' wild heath . We will re trace the steps of England's greatest painters, wirters, philantrhopists, philanderers.. as well as a few pop stars & exiled Kings. The pace is a photographers pace, with time to stop & compose shots, learn more about one of Londons landscape with observation & conversation.
We'll walk through Constables wild heath land to overlook iconic views of London -, The BT Tower We will visit the haunts of Jamie Oliver, HG Wells Keats, Lord Nelson's Mistress, The Spice Girls, Mr. Goldfinger - nemisis of James Bond, the Du Mauriers & Neverland - the residence of the remarkable good, great & today - very wealthy..

WHAT WILL WE LOOKING AT / TUITION : Those who would like help - as , always I'm happy to, though this is not a tuition workshop per se - the main main points here will be COMPOSITION-: creating shots which have impact & lead the eye, rather than just point & shoot.
EQUIPMENT: A camera, you have - do bring along LONG LENS, POLARISING FILTERS. ( to cut out nasty glares ) & a portable lightweight TRIPOD for the long distance masterpieces.

As we walk & stop to take photographs, I'll explain about icebergs, King Henry's the 8th's Underware, the English Civil War, Dick Turpin The High Way Men, Keats & Shelly, Gold finger & James Bond along with having a look en route at the famous open air swimming pools & passing bat enclaves, weasels & fox holes.
We cover about 2-3 miles at a very leisurely photographic pace !
