This is it folks.. The next special tour guided Photography Meetup will be at... London Palace Sights, Streets and Spectacular Alleyways
This event will be inclusive of a fantastic tour guide taking us along some of London‘s best kept secret locations!
The cost of this Meetup is £12.
You can purchase a ticket through meetup.com or alternatively pay on the day.
This Meetup will be from 2:00pm onwards. We will meet at 2pm but it could go as long as everyone wishes it to.
We will start by meeting at 2:00pm outside the St. James Park Underground tube station and then for approximately 2 hours we are in the capable hands of our guide who will put stories and memories behind our photos and take us along some of the hidden/less known spots in London. This route has been carefully selected for its beauty from a photographer's point of view and with a twist.
The pull of the Palace is almost too strong. Visitors can't help themselves walking towards it, in wonder.
The Magnetic force of the Palace makes for a straight line down the Mall.
However, London is not a city to walk straight in.
If you walk straight in this town you miss it. London is old. To know her you must look at her wrinkles.
Her alleyways, back streets and unbeaten paths. It is down these that you'll find her story, her history, the people of her centuries.
This walk takes you Past the Palace, into Georgian Streets. Discovering past customs, mad-hatters and fairytale bridges. Roaming through London's Regency you'll fall through time, landing in the West End. London's backstage area, where the main sights are the Extras.
Here the air is thick with tales of repression, restoration, leading ladies and lead makeup. Across the old beach we find the Vainest man in England, a Victorian slum and a pleasure Garden. Then we end, at the beginning, with the River. For in London all roads, all stories, all meanings eventually lead to the River. It is the spine on which everything is hung.
This walk is really a look at the people that changed the shape of the West End, Kings, Criminals, Lovers, Writers, Actresses and Architects. The marks they left. The scars, clues they left behind for us to find.
This Meetup is not only a chance to discover secret London with an array of amazing photographs to the collection. But this is also a chance to learn from one of London's best guides. This Meetup will be taken on a format similar to those of the past, with a twist, our wonderful guide!
Now not only will you get a photo of a building or a street or a door or even a fence, but all your pictures will have a story or a caption to tell adding value to those wonderful albums.
To finish off we will almost certainly end in a bar for a drink to discuss/summarise the day!
Plenty of photo opportunities here and some wonderful stories to learn about Londons past. This is a great way to learn from one another and to ask the pros for expert advice. Lets group together take great photographs and make some friends whilst we're there together.
