We will begin this evening with a discussion about paper – what kind do you use and why? Bring sample prints labeled with the brand and type of paper that can be passed around to the group.
If you are a Photochrome member, select three images and get them printed, on your digital printer, by a professional service, or in a darkroom (remember those?). Minimum size 8x10, no maximum, mounting is optional.
Non-photo club members are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion, but may not submit prints for review. Thanks.
The Photochrome Club provides the opportunity to share images and techniques with other photographers. Our meetings provide an inclusive, supportive environment to learn from each other and improve our photographic skills. While many groups offer photo outings to go out and shoot with a group, and there are places to share images on line, we are unique in offering a place where you can see your images projected large on a big screen, get immediate feedback and have an interactive conversation about each image.
In most months, Photochrome meets on the first and third Thursdays, at 7:30pm at Herchurch (Ebenezer Lutheran, 678 Portola Drive, San Francisco). The first meeting is dedicated to image sharing and the second one varies, from print night to guest speakers. In addition, photo field trips are scheduled every month or two, usually on the weekend. Guests of all levels are welcome at meetings and field trips.
As of November 2015, events will no longer be posted on this meetup site. Please visit our website for calendar and more information: Photochrome.org
