Photographers Practice Event (PPE) - This is an unofficial event. There is no designated PAC Organizer, thus no pre-determined meet area or person in charge. This event is listed as a fun event that might be used for your own practice or just an enjoyable event. If there is enough interest or if a PAC Org decides to lead, then the event will become official! Have fun, be safe, and remember to share your photos!

Each year hundreds of spectators descend on Picacho Peak State Park to watch re-enactments of an Arizona Civil War skirmish and the New Mexico battles of Glorieta and Val Verde.
Visitors travel from around the country to experience three fascinating historic battle re-enactments complete with lifestyles of the soldiers in the southwest during the 1860s. More than 200 re-enactors come from many states and will camp at the park with their authentic Civil War camping gear. Food and beverage concessions are also available, including the popular Kettle corn vendor. - Fees:

This was a fun, exciting event. The artillery demonstration was earth moving, the cannon's, gunfire between the Confederate and Union Soldiers' rumbled through out the Peak's. Listening to the re-enactors was fascinating! I was so thrilled to meet Ken, his lovely wife and gifted son, who gave me many lessons' 101 on my camera and photography. I was asking many who were holding a camera, " Are you a PAC member?" some smiled and politely said no, others walked away from me. :-) I almost went up to the announcer, ( after the battle was over) sitting up in the shade, who was doing the narration of the battle to make an announcement,"PAC Members" are to meet up at the.... but I didn't. Oh well, sorry I missed the rest who was out there.
