Portraits, animals, sailboats (I race on Lake Travis) wrinkled faces and shiny children! Back in the days of film, I loved to photograph abstract objects, blow 'em up and chuckle when folks would try to guess what I had shot. I may get back into that soon.
I like hanging with photogs who dance in circles when they capture their perfect shot and then share their knowledge. You may lean on me, too! I'm learning something new every day about my Nikon D600 or software (Photoshop CS5 and Capture NX2), so ask questions.
I've been dabbling in photography for more than 30 years, but this new digital world fascinates me! I'm a business editor, former ad director, community volunteer, and grandma to three itty-bitties, who may grow up thinking my name is Nikon.
This was my first photography meet-up (Steam Trains). I've been plodding along alone, doing my best to apply everything I'm learning about my camera, so I was SO excited to meet a fun group of people who love the art of photography. It's like finding a tribe of people who speak my language!!! Tracy did a fabulous job setting up this event and making sure everyone felt included.
