Sharon - very nice content! And nice balance of the couple as the are both stepping in synch. The branches top left are distracting as is the jogger in white top. If you had been a few metres to the left you may have got them on there own with the water and the tree behind them and with a slightly wider aperture such as f4.

Thanks for the comments Lee- the jogger was actually in day glow green so the white is an improvement- but I see what you mean. I toyed with cropping out the branches to the left but settled on leaving them in- not sure why- but it's good to see what others think!

you could even try a crop as is and have the couple to the left of the frame and the large tree filling the space in the background perhaps - it would look nice. Still a nice shot!

I really liked this photo - it gives me an idea of Bresson taking pictures in Parisian parks (berets have this effect). The guy is a true gent as he is carrying her handbag. The photo seems to suggest a need for cropping but I think as this was about the weather, there is plenty of grey sky to give that winter feel - therefore for me, I think it is perfect as it is.

His expression shows, that just like all of us guys, we know our duty when it comes to holding that handbag, but we sure as hell dont feel comfortable about it! :) I wonder why she isnt holding it, do you think there was a brick in it? Anyway. I really like this sharon. Lovely tones, nice composition. I love the blacks against those warm mid-tones. I actually think the branches in the top left are a really good example of how you can "vignette" without vignetting. It really holds your eye into the image in a natural way and gives a further depth to the scene. There is a Bresson feel here. Totally ruined by the day-glow jogger. I would spend an entire weekend cloning him out.

Thanks everyone. As they walked past me she was giving him an earful- poor guy ! I agree about the jogger- i'll have to destroy him at a later date. Stupid joggers...
