Hi Raymond, This looks like a fairly natural nature image. Partly because its difficult to tell how big the eggs are. It works well. I like the hole with the eggs sitting, nestled (pun intended)safely in the tree. Its a shame you didnt get the owl or the woodpecker in the shot, that would have worked :) I couple of photographic points that I would like to make are: I would like to have seen the whole image in focus. So I think if you had used f8 or 11 maybe, the bark would have been crisp all the way through. So turning up the ISO and shooting on a slower speed would have achieved this. The blob of snow at the top is quite important here, its as big ansd as noticable as the eggs so its a shame that its cut in half. I think it sahould either be in or out, not half way. Try to think about every aspect of the shot, not just the subject matter. Everything in the image is doing something useful. If it isnt, it should be in the picture! In fact, I feel that this image might have worked better as a portrait format shot, not as a landscape. Its just me, but it feels like it would flow much better if it was tall and thin rather than short and fat (something we all aspire to I think) :)

I really like this Raymond. Does the hole need to be bang in the center? IS the symetry helping you here? Would we not find the hole if it was placed to one side? I think, sometimes, you can make a shot much more interesting by putting the subject not where you would expect it to be. Here, if the hole was in one corner, so the rest of the image had been focussed tree bark and sow, you might have made this much more dynamic.

Thanks Pete. I do try to place the subject of the photo in the center of the picture. Something I can work on.
