Rochester is 37 minutes from London by train and has the
following places of interest:
- has one of the best preserved keeps in England
- the grounds are free to enter
- second oldest after Canterbury with free entry
The town was for many years the favourite of Charles
Dickens, who lived nearby.
Where to meet:
o we take the 1:25 pm train from St. Pancras
International to Rochester, platform 11 (to avoid the
harsh mid day sun)
o the station is on Pancras Road, look out for a big
o meet at 12:45 outside Starbucks, next to the National
Rail Ticket Office and Boots, at the rear of the
o we will form into groups of 4 to buy the discount
