St. Albans is an old Roman Town 30 minutes by train north
of London and it makes a great day out from the city.
On the agenda will be:
o Verulanium Park and the Cathedral
o 15th Century Clock Tower
o Kingsbury Watermill & Waffle House
o The Fighting Cocks - one of the oldest pubs in
o The ruins of Old Gorhambury House

How to find us:
o we'll take the 1:03pm train to St. Albans City from
London St. Pancras International, Platform B (journey
time 23 minutes)
o the station is on Pancras Road, look out for a big
glass building, platform B is well sign posted once
you are inside
o meet at the Information Desk by the ticket barriers
for platform A & B at 12:45 pm or in the first
compartment at the front of the train
o alternately, meet us off the train at 1:25 pm
o I'll have a black backpack with me if that helps find
