As a Professional Fine-Art photographer, the "oh gosh, I want to learn more about photography!" remarks come almost on a daily basis. So here it is... After earning my bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) in Creative Photography, from the University of Florida, I've learned a thing or two, that I'd love to pass along. I run a commercial photography business, and have traveled all over the world photographing every bit I could. My experience includes working with some well-known clients such as the United Nations and the New York City Marathon.
So, you want to learn photography? I want to help!
Photography is my passion.
Want to see some of my work? Please visit www.LauraSala.com.
We will start with an introductory course, and I will develop more courses as we go along. If you have specific topics you'd like me to develop a course on, just let me know!
I look forward to meeting you!
Laura
For the first meet up I propose the following: (And I'm open to suggestions!)
- Basic Camera use (What's an ISO? Shutter Speed? Depth of Field? Apertures & stops? Mystery buttons on the camera?)
- Digital age (What's a megapixel? What is a Raw file and what is it used for?
- Composition (What makes a good photo, well, good?)
- Discuss the different types of Photography (Fine Art, Commercial, Photo-journalistic, etc)
- We walk around Cocowalk, head towards the bay and photograph along the way.
- Discuss what we photographed, why we shot what we did, and what can be done to improve our skills.
Class should take about 1.5 to 2 hours and will not be more than 4 people to have a more personalized approach.
