“ I've been a member for over a year and this is the best photography group that I belong to. John Bosler and the organizing group keep it interesting with the focus on education. ”

“ This was a friendly group of photographers. ”

“ This is a group for people to go deeper in their photography experience, share ideas, and learn new skills. And best of all it is close to where I live! It is always fun to learn. One should always be learning and stretching the mind. Addition: We just had our 2nd meeting. This is an awesome group. Martha is a great organizer. Although the group is small, we are all dedicated to learning & sharing whatever we can about the art of photography. ”

“ The Lakota Wolf Preserve meetup tested my photographic skills. Although my equipment was up to the task, I am not sure this photographer was. (I think I passed but defiantly did not get an A.) The double fencing prohibited one from putting their lens close to the enclosure in order to shoot through the holes. The fog and low light challenged my understanding of how to control the shutter speed and exposure compensation for these conditions. Do not get to the preserve late! The first half of the tour is the wolves, the second half is the fox and bobcats. They are prompt with their start time and do not wait for anyone. Be prepared to walk the six tenths of a mile (uphill) to get to the enclosures if the rutted dirt road is snowy or icy. ”

“ Great group of people all willing to share their knowledge of photography with you. ”

“ This is a great group. I have only been to two meetings so far, and everyone participated and had some very interesting thoughts to share. We shared some of our photography and critiqued the shots and made suggestions. This was very helpful and a lot of fun. I like the planned outings to meet-up and shoot together so we can later share and discuss our work. I have enjoyed everyone of our meetings at the Historical Society and I think they have progressively gotten better - both for me and for the people attending - especially those new to photography. The plans we decided on at our last planning meeting should really make better for everyone attending the monthly meetings and the meetups out in the field. ”
