Cosplay is short for "costume play", is an activity in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction. There are many costumers in Madison who spend hours making their own movie quality costumes, and enjoy wearing them at conventions (myself, my wife and friends included). Unfortunately there aren't many opportunities for professional quality photographs so I've organized this event for both photographers and costumers to get some awesome photos of movie accurate movie, TV-show and Japanese anime costumes (Star Wars, Doctor Who, Naruto, just to name some).
I reserved full Archer Room downstairs in Middleton Library for this photo shoot.
Perry Kivolowitz has graciously volunteered to let us use his backdrop for the photo shoot. If you're coming in costume a great way to show your appreciation would be bring few bucks to donate and help get the backdrop cleaned after.
Parking: There is a lot across the street and parking next to the library
