Concert Photography - Fanfarlo @ High Noon Saloon

I'm going to the Fanfarlo show at the High Noon Saloon (Just East of the Capitol) - both as a music enthusiast and as a photographer. I've shot there a few times and it's a pretty good venue to try out concert photography. I've checked with the venue and they are fine with photography during the show as long as it is without flash. There is a very small chance that the band would prohibit photos, but I've never had that happen.

Tickets are $14 - I have one spare at the moment and would happily pass it on (preference to someone who enjoys the music as well - indie rock / experimental).

Thank you David for suggesting this meetup.
I had a great time talking with you and Marlene.
The music turned out to be very good.
We should do more low light photography.

Thanks to everyone for coming - hopefully everyone enjoyed. Low-light is always a good challenge. I'll post my photos this weekend.

Thanks for the ticket, David - it was a good show, and interesting to shoot....I've included just a few, but I would like more practice!

    Marlene,

You're most welcome to my spare ticket. If I don't see you at 8:30, I'll just leave it at the door with your name on it.

I'm shooting Nikon and have a 50mm f1.8 that I won't need during the concert (I have a f1.4 that I want to try) - I'll bring it along in case anyone needs it.

I think you should bring any lens faster than f4 (though it may work with a very high ISO). If you have the 50mm f1.8 that would be a good one to bring.

I'll try to be there at 8:30 PM also; if you're ticket is still open, I'd like to take it, but I can also pay, if I can do so at the door.....I've not ever been there before or heard the group.

What lenses are people bringing, so I can be in the know, and try out the same (if I have them).

@David, I plan to be there at 8:30 too.

Hey folks - just wanted to touch base before the concert. I'll be there ~8:30 to catch the opener. Quick reminder that flash (and tripod) photography won't be allowed by the venue; however, it's a great time to play with high ISO shooting / fast lenses / and artistic blurs. If someone would like the spare ticket I have, just drop me an email and I'll hand it off.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
