I currently shoot a Nikon P310. I love that it's so small I can put it in my pocket and carry it everywhere. Which is what good photographers are supposed to do, have the camera ready at a moment's notice to capture the moment. I got a point and shoot at this time due to finances and I thought it would be the perfect bridge into the digital world for me at this point in time. I will upgrade in a few years to a "professional SLR" and in the mean time have great fun with my spy camera
I would say I am an expert in photography overall and very much a beginner in digital photography which is a new world for me. I have worked professionally and have a very broad range of experience. My work experience includes 3 years at American Family Insurance as their corporate photographer, which was very interesting and challenging. My expertise is in portraiture. I have taught UW mini courses on "Developing Your Vision". I have knowledge of a number of the famous photographers and a collection of of books of various photographers work. Namely, Cartier Bresson, Dorethea White, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham .....
My name is Lori Bose. Professional and new to digital. I have exhibited work in many juried shows over the years. Studied in 1981 at Maine Photographic Workshop.
I really enjoyed seeing other members work on the big screen. There are some very talented folks in the group. Beth's presentation was very positive. I'm really glad I went.
