How are you doing on this month's photo theme: black and white photography? We had a great discussion of the topic at last month's meeting. Winter is a great time to try shooting in b/w because nature's palette is naturally muted. For some tips, check out this thread in the meetup discussion board. And visit our Flickr group to see what others have done with the theme. And if you're like me and are wishing for winter to end already, take heart. Co-organizer Steven reminds us that there are only 20+ days until the spring equinox.
I see that many of you have already signed up for our March Monthly Meeting on next Thursday the 7th. We'll meet at the Middleton library. If you're a new member or just haven't come to a meeting in a while, I hope you'll join us too.
If you're looking for other ideas for what to shoot, I started a discussion thread on online photo challenges. Please share any challenges that you know with the group! As some of you know, I'm an avid iPhone photographer. I'm also going to be following along with Photojojo's Phoneography 101 course for the month of March, if anyone would like to join me! And finally, if you have an idea for a future meetup, please add it to our calendar. Just click on the link to "Schedule a New Meetup."
So there's no excuse not to get out there with your camera. Then be sure to share your "Pick Three" shots on Flickr for the March member slideshow! See you next week!
