Hey fellow photographers. I just wanted to let you all know that I had a very rewarding experience volunteering as a photographer for the ALA event in Milwaukee today. I posted A LOT of pictures. Even more on Flickr. Please take some time to check them out. It might motivate you to volunteer next year. I took 983 pictures during the event. It was difficult to choose which ones to not post. Well, somewhat difficult. I had a few that didn’t turn out so well, either out of focus, or my flash didn’t recharge fast enough and the pictures were dark. Just so you know when it was my turn to take pictures at the finish line; if you see people holding x numbers of fingers, it’s for the amount of times they did the climb at that point. I climbed all 1034 stairs, however; I climbed DOWN, not UP. My legs were shaking for about an hour after I did that. There were a lot of teams as well as a lot of individual climbers. Be sure to check out the photos of the various fire departments. They climbed the stairs in FULL GEAR; 50 pounds worth.
