Civil War Re-enactment! Sat. and Sun. Great photo opportunity!

This is one of the best photo opportunities of the year!

Hundreds of people dressed up in 1860 era costumes

willing to pose for photographers. Staged battles,

firing squads, camp life, loud cannons, impromptu

lectures, etc. Wonderful place to practice your portrait

shooting! Great fun for all ages!!!

Robert, you have some nice images posted... This is something that I would've liked to shoot however, I already had a prior engagement for the day. Have you tried changing the images over to BW or sepia tone it? Long lenses have a nice way of compressing images...

I'm so glad I brought a long 300mm lens - you don't really get to stand close to the action for safety reasons. And earplugs come in handy if you need your hands to operate the camera.

This is a unique photo-opportunity for sure! People re-enacting are very dedicated to this event and it's interesting to watch history unfold in full color.
