tist originally from Palo Alto, California (near San Francisco) and Seattle, Washington, in the US... Travelled for a while, and now living in Berlin!
What inspires you to take a photograph? The City? Landscapes? Portraits? Closeups?
Interest, emotion... Sometimes that's an interesting pattern of shapes; other times it's an evocative scene; other times it's a human expression... There are many things, these are just a few examples, with a hope of capturing a generality of what I see in them.
What are some common areas of difficulty that you currently experience with your camera?
I miss film. :) I might have to get myself a film camera again...
Do you have a digital SLR camera? If so, are you shooting on manual?
I suppose technically "bulb" on my DSLR is a different mode, and sometimes I'm shooting in that, but otherwise... Yes, I almost always shoot on manual, though for a while it was only with a Canon G12 point-and-shoot (luckily, I have a DSLR again)... It's about as close as one can get to an SLR in a point-and-shoot, though, including having one dial for the shutter and another for aperture, so that was nice, at least. (And I still carry it around, and might even use it again some day... ;) Luckily, I just (2013-01-24) re-entered the world of DSLR owners... and yes, definitely shooting manual, when I'm not shooting Bulb. :)

Thanks, Lindes, it was great to see you, too. I'm glad you came. A few weeks ago I was invited to an event for writers with a bunch of muckity-muck writer people and I couldn't go because I felt too ashamed. You inspired me to put myself out there more, be willing...and I appreciate it.
