Hi and welcome to Photography in Berlin!

This group was started by an Australian photographer, Beth Jennings in the summer of 2011.  Beth's currently in Australia and the group continues to be run by a savvy group of co-organisers.  This group is very successful because events are scheduled regularly and they often involve bier gartens at the end! It's also a great group where everyone is welcomed to suggest events.  We all see this city differently so if an idea strikes you, share it! If you're feeling inspired and would like to learn more about photography as well as handling your camera to create the images you want, then this group is for you.

Regular meet ups are scheduled:

- meet ups at many of Berlin's awesome cafes to discuss your beautiful images. Bring your USB and the organiser will bring a lappie.

- outings (full and half day) to discover Berlin, and further afield, through the lens...we call these 'photo wanderings'

- visits to photo exhibitions (the Helmet Newton Foundation is definitely on this list!). Finding out about the artist and their life is key to understanding their work.

You're welcome to all the events on offer.  There's something for everyone here that loves photography - travel, people, landscapes, closeups, you name it, there'll be a chance to discover it...

New ideas and suggestions to improve the group are always welcome. It's a joint effort here to make the activities interesting, fun and engaging.

One (small) condition

We know you all live busy lives and sometimes forget what you rsvp to. Please, if you rsvp to one of our events, put it in your diary. If your plans change, then please update your rsvp on the site. This is a courtesy to the group and possible venues. Oh, and please be on time for the event...that's all.

So, if you enjoy photography, you'll fit right in, we'll see to it.
