As a reminder, Adobe requires us to name badges to all guests. Please provide the first name and last name you and your guest(s). The more the merrier!

Is there anyone else coming from the South Bay, who would like to carpool?

Thanks Johanna. I will be coming from the South Bay but will be carpooling in the other person's car. If she doesn't go then I am open for carpooling.

It is now 3 days until the meetup, and we still do not have a firm food sponsor. Unless this changes, I do not think there will be any refreshments or food at this event so please plan accordingly.

I've heard from others and everyone has good remarks about Borrow Lenses. I've yet to rent stuff from them, but sooner or later I know I will. Thanks Johanna...

I rented a 80-400mm lens from them a few weeks back for the Mavericks Surf Contest. I took about 1400 shots of the contest. Here is a link to some of my best. http://www.bit.ly/coH5kE The people at Borrow Lenses were really cool to work with which is why I asked them if they would like to sponsor the group.

    Luke,
Great idea...nice work on the Maverick images too. I saw the live feed and those waves were simply "Epic"... I thought I was going to shoot it but my media credentials weren't turned in on time.

I've used Borrow Lenses many times for a variety of gear. They make trying out new tools easy and affordable. There have been some timing snafus on delivery but that was as much my fault as theirs. All in all, a great deal!

Another option would be Keeble and Schucat in Palo Alto. I just pick up the item on the reserved date. No hassles.

Please excuse if this is a redundant question, but I thought I saw a posting about available parking. Can anyone illuminate?

Is there a parking garage nearby and would anyone know how much it costs? Thanks.

Jennifer - if you're talking about parking @ Adobe, there's easy street parking right next to it - usually within 1/2 block.

Quite a bit of togs in the group. It is worthwhile for Borrow Lenses to sponsor us!

Because of the size of attendance, the meeting will not be streamed via Adobe Connect. We'll work on this for future meetings, I know it is a popular request! But we can talk to Tom and hopefully we can post his presentation post-meeting on our webite and he can write a guest blog post for us too.

I always have no issue finding street parking after 6pm in the area. There are 2 Garages on Townsend just down from Adobe, but I think they close at 9pm so please keep that in mind.

Fascinating and informative. Wish I had seen this before printing up photos for my upcoming show :)

Good info, but once Tom realized that the vast majority of attendees were experieced LR users, I had expected more "power user" tips. LR3 demo was very helpful.
  • David Lipton
Good meeting - learned a few new things and got a glimpse at new LR3 features.
  • Bruce Kocen
Was my first meetup. Learned some great tricks for Lightroom and a little more about workflow with LR2.
  • Kirk Brooks
These are such great events. Holding them @ Adobe is terrific and the access to senior level developers and managers of the products is such a tremendous opportunity.

Very informative, very useful tips on Lightroom. Would've liked more info on v3 (though maybe there's not much more to tell than was said?).
  • Joshua Sa
Tom is awesome. Super nice guy. prepared and dynamic speaker.

I really enjoyed this. I only started using Lightroom and feel like I learned soooo many things to get me going. I especially enjoyed the keyboard shortcuts because I prefer to use the keyboard than the mouse when possible.
  • G Dan Mitchell
Very interesting presentation for someone like me who understands Photoshop, Bridge, and ACR very well and is trying to figure out why (or if) I might want to work with LR.
  • larry placido
I know that Tom could have gone into far more detail, but with the time limit I think he did a great job. Marie and Luke did a nice job of rounding up the gifts for the giveaway too. ...and it's always nice when you win a prize as I did. Overall, it was a fun night as well as an informative one. Kudos to the organizers!
  • Teresa Roberts
Tom totally sold me on Lightroom with his presentation. He covered all the good stuff and then some.
  • Jody Frost
Tom Hogarty did an excellent job of presenting the material. Time well spent!
  • Jonathan
Really great to have someone so knowledgable sharing his expertise. Also, I would prefer to have a separate time for questions rather than fielding themon the fly as it made the talk somewhat scattered for me. Thanks, Jonathan

Tom did a great fast pace Lightroom Info presentation. We thought out and lots of useful tips.

Wish he had more time. There were a lot of questions.
  • Graham Bird
The logistics could be improved! No badge (again!) despite preregistration, forcing me to go through the utterly stupid rigmarole of handing over my ID (not showing it) 'because it's policy'. Also the requirement to sign an NDA when no Proprietary information is going to be discussed - and noone can tell me what constitutes Proprietary information. Tom was excellent. Why do we limit speakers to an hour? We have these people who are hard to get then cram them into only an hour. If the speaker is prepared to go for longer we should let them.
  • Kyle Jeffers
Found it to be pretty elementary. I was hoping for more advanced techniques, but did pick up a couple new tricks.
